On October 19th the St. Mary Academy - Bay View Crew will be racing in the world's largest two-day rowing event, the Head of the Charles Regatta. More than 7,500 athletes from around the world will compete in 55 different race events in Cambridge as they power their way up the three-mile Charles River Course from the Boston University Boathouse to the finish line off Soldier's Field Road. This regatta now attracts up to 300,000 spectators during the October weekend. This is Bay View's first entry into this event. The crew has been moving very well. This past spring the Bay View Varsity placed 8th at the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championships in Worcester, MA.
