Volunteer Opportunities Volunteer opportunities abound at Bay View. Whether you are an alumna, parent, or friend of the Academy there is no better way to stay in touch with what is going on at the Bay and the students than to give your time and talent. The choices are many and varied. Following are a few suggestions: Serve as a member of one of our working committees: Development Committee The Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Trustees and is responsible for establishing policies related to fundraising and developing a strategic plan for long range revenue generation. Committee Members are ambassadors and leaders whose vision and commitment help ensure the financial stability of the Academy and its future. Alumnae Leadership Committee Represents the Bay View Alumnae Association and is responsible for alumnae events, reunion support, annual fund, fundraising activities and cultivation events. The Leadership Committee helps keep Bay View alumnae connected and informed. Clerical and office support Help in the Office of Institutional Advancement with general clerical, computer support, phonathons, mailings, etc. Speaker / Mentor Come talk to our students about career opportunities, community activities and events. Share your special gifts, your talents and expertise. Class reunions Organize your class reunion for a fun way to reconnect with the Academy and your classmates. This is a very important activity and we are always looking for help. Have a party Host a reception for area alumnae or host a special development function. Special Events Help with one of our special events. Manhattan At The Bay, the Academy Classic golf tournament, or the Jewel Ball gala or Mardi Gras. The Annual Fund Phonathon One of our most important projects and the backbone of our fundraising efforts. Funds received through this project are unrestricted gifts and are used to help meet the operational needs of the Academy. Volunteers make an immeasurable contribution to the Academy. Volunteers are trained and supported by the Office of Institutional Advancement. Please consider sharing yourself in this very special way. |
